Dear Resident / Business Owner, 

RE: Monmouth Town Public Realm Improvements - Phase 1 

As previously advised, we are moving into the final stage of the above works on behalf of Monmouthshire County Council. This stage includes resurfacing to sections of the B4293 including Agincourt Square and a small section of Agincourt Street. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are having to reschedule. This means that these works will now be carried out between Monday 19th October and Wednesday 21st October 2020, not as previously advised. Preparation of the road for resurfacing will now be undertaken during the evening of the 19th October and resurfacing will be undertaken during the evening of the 20th October. The evening works will be carried out under a temporary road closure between the hours of 1800 and 0200 and diversion routes will be clearly signposted. There will be a traffic management operator in place at the Dixton lights junction during the evening works to guide any traffic. During the day, traffic will still be able to use the current one - way system. White lining works will then be undertaken during the day of the 21st October, where localised traffic management will be used to minimise disruption. Please note, you may experience some noise disturbance and all works are weather dependent. 

We respectfully ask that you refrain from parking in these areas whilst these works are taking place. Please be assured that access to properties and businesses will be maintained.
