EMERGENCY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr Usk, NP15 1GA ( "the Council") pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 do HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT that for the purpose of the following regulations shall be observed: 

  1. The Order shall come into operation on the 7th August 2020 and is expected to in operation until 28th August 2020, operating between 07:30 - 17:00 each day. 
  2. The order is necessary to allow for social distancing amongst workers and machinery to be used in the road. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties and businesses fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure, as well as pedestrian access. 
  3. The effect of the order will be to temporarily close a section of Agincourt Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire. 
  4. A signed diversion route will be in place as follows: Agincourt Square, Priory Street, Monk Street, Whitecross Street, St James' Square, St James' Street, Almshouse Street, Glendower Street. 
  5. This order may be cited as Agincourt Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire Emergency Traffic Regulation Order 2020 
  6. By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
