Grant Scheme now open until Friday 29th September 2017
The Monmouth Town Council Smaller Community Grant Fund is open for applications from local groups, clubs and projects that benefit the residents of Monmouth.
Local voluntary groups and charitable organisations, within the boundaries of Monmouth Town Council, are invited to apply for the Town Council’s Smaller Grant Scheme which has a budget of £8,000 to distribute for 2017/18.
Grants are intended to support projects or community activity through community, voluntary, or charitable groups from groups who carry out work that demonstrates support for the Community Affairs Committee’s aims and objectives together with the Wellbeing goals outlined below:
· The Committee aims to ‘support and strengthen community participation, activities and events, to help develop a sustainable, welcoming community’ together with the Well-Being of our communities namely
· provide a long-term benefit to the community
· extend access and participation, increase skill and creativity, or generally improve the quality of life of people in their area
· support principles of equal access and opportunity
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that a grant would enable them to contribute to these aims. Grants are available for up to 75% of the total cost of the project, equipment or, running costs to a maximum of £750.
Applications will be assessed at a future meeting of the Community Affairs Committee. The deadline for applications is Friday 29th September 2017.
