Getting to Monmouth

Monmouth is easy to get to by road with excellent access from North, East, South and West.

From the M4
Leave the motorway at Junction 24 (Coldra roundabout). Follow the A449/A40 to Monmouth. Take the 1st exit for Monmouth (B4233). Continue to the traffic lights and turn right (B4293) over the bridge. Take the first exit at the mini roundabout. This will bring you to the bottom of Monnow Street (Monmouth's main high street).

From the Head of the Valleys and Abergavenny
Take the A40 to Raglan. Keep to the left fork and continue on the A40/A449 (signposted Midlands) to Monmouth.

Wye Valley (from the west)
For a more scenic route through the breathtaking Wye Valley, leave the M4 at Junction 21 and follow the M48 over the 1st Severn Bridge. Take Junction 2 (signposted Chepstow) and follow the A466 to Monmouth.

From the M5 (Midlands)
Leave the motorway at Junction 8 (signposted South Wales, Ross on Wye). Follow the M50 and then the A40/A449 to Monmouth. At the Dixton roundabout take the 3rd exit to Monmouth (A466). This will bring you to Priory Street at the top of town.
