The Monmouth Mayor’s Flood Recovery fund was set up to help Monmouth recover from the devastating floods. This included residents, community groups and independent businesses.
Due to people’s generosity and the level of fundraising undertaken, the fund received £201,023.88. Two phases of applications and payments were completed between November 2025 and March 2026. In addition to this, the decision was also made to gift funds to Whitecastle and Skenfrith Community Councils to support those affected by the flood in Rockfield and Skenfrith.
The Monmouth Town Council website will continue to be a source of information for the Monmouth Community, however the Monmouth Mayor’s Flood Recovery Fund is now closed.
The balance of funds will be donated to Monmouth Aid for distribution and use, meaning it continues to be used to support the Monmouth community’s recovery. Monmouth Town Council will also direct all future fundraising inquiries to Monmouth Aid.
We would like to take this final opportunity to again share thanks to each and every person who contributed to this fund to support those impacted. On behalf of every beneficiary we offer heartfelt thanks for helping them to recover their homes and livelihoods.
