Community Grants are OPEN!

We are pleased to confirm that the 2nd round of the Community Grants for 2025-26 is open!

The deadline for applications is Friday 7th November 2025 and the application form and guidance notes can be found below.

All applicants will be informed of the outcome following the People and Places Committee due to be held on 8th December 2025 with payments made in January 2026.

What are Community Grants?

Each year, the Town Council fund a Community Grants Scheme of up to £25,000 to support community groups, organisations and charities with their work and projects within Monmouth. The fund is open for applications twice a year (March and October) and managed by the People and Places Committee.

Previous projects have included funding musical equipment for local choirs, running costs of support groups and supporting renovations of local community groups. There is no limit on the amount that can be requested although the Town Council always strives to help as many organisations as possible throughout the year.

How do we apply?

The Town Council will announce when the grant scheme is open for applications and will provide a closing date that all applications must be submitted by.

All applicants will need to consider the criteria of the grants before completing an application form setting out the aims and costs of the project or works being carried out.

Once the application form and the supporting documentation are ready, they should be submitted via email to townclerk@monmouth.gov.uk or by hand to Town Council Office at the Shire Hall.

Community Grants Awards Presentation Ceremony Monday 30th June 2025

Monmouth Mayor Councillor Jackie Atkin and the Deputy Mayor Councillor Rob Barrell presented awards to some of the successful recipients of 2025-26 Community Grants in the Council Chambers at Shire Hall, Monmouth.
