Monmouth Town Council partners with Christmas Lantern Parade community organisers to bring Monmouth together for the town’s annual FREE event.

Monmouth Christmas Lantern Parade Group help the Council support bringing together local business and members of the community for a Christmas event that celebrates Monmouth and its history. 

This year’s parade will take place on Friday 5^th December 2025 and the theme is The Butterfly Ball & The Grasshopper’s Feast.

It’s an open invitation to creatures great and small to join the fun and light up Monmouth’s night sky with glowing butterflies, buzzing beetles, shimmering wings, and twinkling flowers! 

Monmouth Town Council has entered into a new partnership with Transition Monmouth on behalf of Monmouth Community Fridge to provide funding to support the work of the organisation, whose objective is to reduce the impact of food waste on our natural environment and help achieve a prosperous, resilient and globally responsible Wales.

Through partnership with Savoy Theatre, ALL primary school-aged children who live or attend primary school in Monmouth are able to go and see FREE & UNLIMITED films using their Savoy Kids Club Card! 

For 2025-26 the scheme has now been extended to include all 4 year-olds.  The card is available via a Monmouth nursery or primary school or via the Town Council directly.

Monmouth Carnival Sunday is an annual event aiming to provide a fun day for locals and families 

Mind Monmouthshire is your locally trusted independent Mental Health Charity which has been formed over 40 years.  We are proud supporters in partnership with this worthwhile organisation.

Green Walls on both sides of the Blestium Street toilet block were established in 2019 by Rotary Monmouth Community Champions and partnered with Monmouth Town Council, with the purpose providing a welcoming entrance to the town. Bee friendly flowers are planted in dedicated boxes which are fixed to the walls. Boxes are changed twice per year by the Champions team to ensure continuous flowering! Well done, team!

 Partnered with our local library & community hub on Whitecross Street, there are many activities, resources and services available to Monmouth residents.

Action on Climate Emergency (ACE) is a community group responding to the challenge of climate change by bringing people in the Monmouth community together through events, workshops, festivals, projects, initiatives and collaboration.
