Strategic Objectives

· Ensure our mission sustains beyond short term political turnaround and maintain a long-term vision

· Utilise each other’s skills and knowledge, and work closely with MTC officers and MCC to use current data to inform decisions

· Increase communication amongst Councillors and all stakeholders about MTC current and proposed projects, using all platforms available, online and offline

· Increase consultation with a broad demographic of community stakeholders on new initiatives

· Build relationships with charities and local support groups

· Source service provision locally where possible

Respond to demographic changes, work with stakeholders to:

· develop further and higher education, apprenticeships and other learning opportunities locally

· attract and retain young people in Monmouth

· promote the exceptional quality of life in Monmouth

Protect and Enhance the resilience of our natural environment, work with stakeholders to:

· support the improvement of the local environment to be more attractive to a diverse population of all ages

· promote Active Travel and ensuring local public transport is available, accessible and frequent enough for residents and visitors to connect communities across Monmouth and nationally

· to develop and support initiatives that promote social and corporate responsibility

· enhance service provision locally and where possible align programmes of work

Develop opportunities for communities and businesses, work with stakeholders to:

· improve local technological infrastructure, including but not limited to, access to reliable and fast internet provision

· promote digital education

· promote tourism and local economy

· support delivery of local events including local markets
