MCCs Preferred Strategy for the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP) 2018-2033

Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) is consulting on its new Preferred Strategy for the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP) 2018-2033.
The Preferred Strategy is to provide the strategic direction for the development and use of land in Monmouthshire (excluding the area within the Brecon Beacons National Park). It sets out the scale of future growth in population, housing and jobs and establishes
the locations of growth. It also identifies preferred strategic site allocations and strategic policies to deliver/implement the strategy.
MCC are also inviting comments on the Candidate Sites listed in the Candidate Sites Register which lists pieces of land that have been submitted to the Council for either protection or development.
Public consultation and engagement will run from 5th December 2022 to 30th January 2023 at the following times and places:
