The Monmouth Mayor’s Flood Recovery fund was set up to help Monmouth recover from the devastating floods. This included residents, community groups and independent businesses.
Due to people’s generosity and the level of fundraising undertaken, the fund to date has received approximately £194.000.00. Phase I saw payments to the value of approximately £165,000 being made, meaning there are further funds available to support a Phase II of funding.
Applications for Phase II can now be submitted direct to Monmouth Town Council, either in person or via email to townclerk@monmouth.gov.uk . Please find links to access the application form below. Should you need help to complete this application form, councillors and officers are available to support on request.
The closing date for applications is 5 pm on Friday 20 February 2026.
As previously announced, the decision has been made to gift an amount of Phase II funds to Whitecastle and Skenfrith Community Councils to support those affected in Rockfield and Skenfrith.
I would like to take this opportunity to again share my thanks to each and every person who has contributed to this fund to support the Monmouth residents affected. A heart felt thank you goes out to everyone for their unrelenting support.
Mayor of Monmouth Councillor Jackie Atkin
